If I didn’t have a Kin Domain in this self-isolation period, I would definitely start drawing its plan.

That was exactly what I did long time ago, when I had my two daughters one after another with a year and a half gap between them. I had plenty of time on maternity leave in my city apartment, and I really wanted to do something creative, something that would work for the benefit for me and people around me. That is how I came up with the idea to draw a plan of my Kin Domain, and only after that to start looking for a piece of land in accordance with my drawing.

What exactly a Kin Domain is I learned sometime before that, in the early two thousands from the book series “Rigning Cedars of Russia” by V.N. Megre. I remember back then I got really inspired by the idea of having a spacious piece of land of one hectare, a living fence, a house, a garden, my own forest, healthful and cozy atmosphere created by plants; children would have space to run around and to grow up, my husband could make something by hand there, and to me that land would help keep my love safe.

I was not ready at the moment to rush and buy a bare piece of land, because it was not clear what exactly to do with it. But to draw trees, and bushes, and flowers on the plan of our future Kin Domain, by myself or together with my kids, also asking my husband about his favorite plants – became an exciting experience.

After you draw everything you know – all the birches, oaks and linden, roses, peonies and lilies of the valley, you still have much space left, and it needs to be filled.

That is how I started learning what else could grow on the large territory of one hectare, so that as a result you would have a self-sustaining ecosystem of plants.

I wholeheartedly recommend using this quarantine period to draw a plan of your future land! All your thoughts will travel from the four apartment walls immediately to your own garden, filled with spring aroma of hyacinths, lilies of the valley and lilac. I truly believe in the immense benefit of such imagining and such visualization in this time of difficulties.

On the other hand, such new thoughts can help get closer to realization and implementation of your garden plan on Earth. Because the more we think of something, the sooner it becomes reality.
