Uyutnoe na Vodogae

Our settlement is located 5km from Novodmitrievskaya Stanitsa, Seversky district, in Krasnodar Krai. It is only 30 km away from the city of Krasnodar, and 8-9 km from the stantsia (Cossack village) Kaluzhskaya.

The settlement is made up of five glades surrounded by forest along the Vodogay stream. Each has its own name. Nektarnaya (Nectar) covers 9 hectares, Raduzhnaya (Rainbow) – 5 hectares, Zapovednyy kray – 2.8 hectares, Zavetnaya (Cherished) - 8 hectares, and Solnechnaya (Sunny) - 12 hectares.

The glades are divided by dirt roads. The distance to the main road varies from 0.5km to 1.5km, depending on the glade. Each plot within the settlement is 1.1-1.5 hectares large. There are 28 homestead plots, 19 of which are still empty.

1 – 1.5 km from the settlement there is the Shebsh River, where you can swim. It doesn’t dry up in summer. In February 2008 the pioneers of our settlement first banded together to put in motion the steps that would bring us here today. Now, there are 18 people living on the settlement in 9 domains. There are 5 children among them.

We all share a common vision for our settlement, which is made up of individual homesteads for each family. This vision is inspired by the book series “The Ringing Cedar of Russia”. Some of our fundamental plans for the settlement involve the construction of a road on the territory, the improvement of our communal spaces and a support network for people building their homesteads.

The features of our settlements:
- They are small communities with good relations between settlers
- We care about our neighbours’ opinions
- We have the option to work and earn money in the city nearby
- There is no comprehensive school, however, there is a school in the stanitsa.

We invite families with children, or who are planning to have children and people who are good with kids and enjoy teaching them. We are also looking for tractor drivers, party planners, lawyers, honest businesspeople, dance teachers and anyone with talent. We look forward to meeting you all, to create together an environment based on the ideas spread in the “Ringing Cedars of Russia” series by Vladimir Megre.
