June 12 is the Day of Russia. It’s a good time to reflect on such topics as living things, health, and eternity. On the birthday of the entire country each resident can make a good gift: plant a cedar or a cedar nut for her, for our common Motherland. So we will become closer to her, closer to each other, and the CEDAR will become a SYMBOL OF RUSSIA.

CEDAR - A SYMBOL OF RUSSIA

June 12, 2020. In different parts of a huge country called Russia, people gather with families and for the first time talk about their country in a way that takes the breath away!

In one family they remember the great-great-grandmother, who lived for over 100 years. They tell the children that she lived surrounded by an exuberant forest, where animals ran freely, and people were not afraid to go there, as they were friends with animals; there was plenty of everything: there were cows, horses, a beautiful garden.

Participants of the excursion in the Historical Museum of the capital examine Russia of the 17th century on one of the largest globes in Europe: the clear outlines of wide rivers, lakes and endless forests are clearly visible there.

"It's great that we don't live in a desert!" - such a thought floated around in many families, where on that day they remembered their immense homeland and those who, thanks to love and care for each other, created such a large friendly country and preserved nature, in which there are forests. According to the stories of the elders, however, the forests have changed a little, thinned out. But all together we can correct this.

In every family there is an elder who unites everyone. In the forest there is also a tree that unites everyone. In our climate, it is cedar. It grows in the south of our country, including in Crimea. It also grows in the north. By the way, the most delicious and also most beneficial for health cedar nuts come from the north. Siberia and the Far East are in first place in terms of cedar reserves. But the West and the center of our country are not far behind: a great number of cedars grow in numerous family cedar nurseries, where you can buy cedar seedlings or cedar nuts for planting.

Back in 2017, a proposal was sent to the administration of the President of the Russian Federation to accept cedar as a living symbol of Russia. There was a list of reasons attached, where on several pages it was told about the main wealth of the country – about forests and a long-lived tree - cedar. Being grown in the cities and villages of our Motherland, cedar trees will be able to improve the air around the whole planet, since the country is immense!

That is why, on June 12, 2020, in dozens of cities and towns, cedar seedlings and cedar nuts get distributed to those people who wish to plant them with their families in courtyards, between houses, or at their entrance, on their favorite street or in the park where the family goes for a walk. Let those little cedars become a birthday present for the Motherland and the first living symbols of the Motherland, carefuly protected by the locals!
