The dreams of grown-up children 12.03.2025 18:22:47
Yesterday morning started like usual, around 7. The endless cycle of tasks: prepare breakfast, get myself together, start studying, maybe do some physical exercise if ten free minutes can be found. Then lunch, a little music and dancing, and we’re off again. And then the pause came. The very pause that is needed every day for Dreams. We went for a walk with the dog: to breathe in fresh air, to think about something other than worries and endless tasks.

We didn’t just go for a walk, but to the plot of land I fell in love with when I was about 12. I simply saw it and started dreaming. At first — only about a stable, then — about a house, a garden, and a stable. For some reason, it’s the seventh year that draws me here, here is where I want to return, here is where I want to dream and plan. Here, the eye sees what is still in its very infancy, but after all, every project begins with a thought in the mind, with an idea.
We stood with the dog, looked around. I got my aesthetic pleasure, admired the sky, watched the sunset. These were the calmest, quietest, and most precious 5 minutes of the day. The most productive of all the 9 hours I spent studying with breaks for food.

One must know how to stop and dream. Maybe someday, on this currently just beautiful but empty field, there will be a house, horses will graze at the far end of the plot, and in time, the planted garden will grow. And then, little children will run around there. God willing.
